What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks a browser to store and send back with later requests. Cookies can remember settings, maintain sessions, measure visits, or support advertising. Browser web storage, including local storage, can also save information on a device but is not automatically attached to web requests.

The theme preference

Why there is no consent banner

The site does not show a general consent banner because it does not run audience analytics or use non-essential cookies or comparable device access. Its Content Security Policy does not permit the Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled, and the site's security policy does not allow its external script to run. The only first-party browser storage is created when you actively use the theme selector. By using that control, you request the site to apply and remember your chosen appearance. The value is used solely for that preference and not for analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling. If non-essential storage, access, or similar technology is introduced, the site will request consent where required before using it.

Cloudflare hosting and security cookies

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare does not document a general cookie that every Pages site always sets. However, it can set strictly necessary cookies when particular security or delivery features are enabled—for example, bot protection, a browser challenge, waiting room, session affinity, or certain rate-limiting rules.

The site does not rely on a Cloudflare cookie for ordinary page delivery. If Cloudflare sets a strictly necessary cookie while responding to suspicious or abusive traffic, it is used to deliver or protect the site, not for advertising or cross-site tracking. Self-hosted fonts and outgoing links

The site's open-source fonts are downloaded during the build and served as static files from this site's own domain. Loading them does not contact the original font providers or give those providers an opportunity to set browser storage. Their copyright notices and license are available with the site.

Posts also contain ordinary links to other websites. No content from those destinations is embedded here, so their cookies are not loaded merely because a link appears in a post. If you follow a link, the destination site may set its own cookies or use other technologies under its own policy. This site does not control them.

How to remove or block stored data

You can remove the saved theme by clearing this site's data in your browser's privacy or storage settings. The site will then return to your browser or operating system preference. If local storage is blocked, the site remains readable, but a manually selected theme may not persist between pages or visits.

Browser controls can also block or delete cookies generally. Settings for a website you reach through an outgoing link must be managed on that destination website.
